All three teams still have eight games left to play. Sheffield United, ranked 20th, has 15 points and is 10 points from safety.
Newcomers in midfield driving title push
Alexis Mac Allister took some time to settle down at Liverpool. Dominik Szoboszlai’s form has fluctuated this season. Both players, who arrived in the summer, are now major reasons why Liverpool is top of the league. There are eight games left. Mac Allister’s stunning goal to make it 2-1 highlighted his importance in the last few weeks. He now has 10 goals in his 11 games for Liverpool in all competitions and the Argentine wizard looks more and more comfortable in the No. 10 shirt. It’s because he plays in a more advanced position, which is his normal position. Szoboszlai has also become a machine, as he wins the ball back so many times and is very clever in how he uses that ball. These new midfielders should have given Liverpool a fresh dynamic. It took them a while to settle down, and for the well-drilled Liverpool squad to learn how best to use Mac Allister and Szoboszlai. It took a while for them to settle down, but now they look seamless. This duo will thrive for many seasons ahead of Endo. The balance of the trio is perfect, and both Mac Allister & Szoboszlai stand out as leaders as Liverpool surges towards the Premiership title.
